The book launch for the poetry collection Nv-er Hong was successfully held on 15 December, jointly organized by the Malaysian Chinese Literature Centre and the Faculty of Chinese Studies at Southern University College.
During the launch, Prof. Wong Yoon Wah spoke highly of the collection co-authored by Dr. Er Lee Siong and his daughter, Er Zhengxin. He compared Dr. Er’ s writing style to Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, and praised 12-year-old Zhengxin’s work for its spirituality, noting that it goes beyond the boundaries of traditional children’s poetry.
Dr. Er Lee Siong shared his inspiration for moving from Sinology research to writing modern poetry. Co-author Er Zhengxin also shared her journey of discovering and creating poetry, along with her unique thoughts on the definition of children’s poetry.
The event came to a perfect close with a heartfelt recitation of selected poems from Nv-er Hong by Ms. Wong Wai Kuan.
12月15日，南方大学学院马华文学馆与中华语言文化学院联合举办的《女儿红》诗集推介礼顺利进行。王润华教授在推介礼上高度评价了这部由余暦雄博士与余正心父女合著的诗集，除了将余暦雄的日常诗意书写比作惠特曼的《草叶集》，也盛赞年仅12岁的正心创作极具灵性且超越了传统童诗的范畴 。余暦雄博士在会中分享了自身从汉学研究跨越至现代诗创作的创作灵感，另一位作者余正心则分享了自己接触，创作诗歌的历程，并表达了她对童诗定义的独特思考。最后由黄荟如讲师深情朗诵《女儿红》中的部分诗作，为这场推介礼画下圆满句点 。
