Southern University College (SUC), through the Department of Journalism & Communication (DJC) under the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences (FHSS), successfully hosted the BEST FM Talent Search Open Audition on 10 December at the Southern New Media Center Studio, IEB Level 2, running smoothly from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with setup beginning at 8:30 AM. The event received an overwhelmingly positive response with a total of 15 participants comprising SUC students and members of the public, reflecting strong interest in radio broadcasting opportunities. Throughout the session, participants showcased their vocal ability, personality, and on-air potential, resulting in four SUC students earning the prestigious BBB Card and qualifying for the next level of audition, alongside two external participants who also advanced. Beyond the audition itself, the programme served as a valuable experiential learning platform for SUC students—particularly from Mass Communication—as they observed real industry evaluation standards, broadcaster criteria, and the professional flow of a radio audition. The audition was concurrently recorded via Multi-Camera Production (MCP), providing practical exposure to students from Broadcast Journalism and Digital Storytelling, including Kelly Gan, who operated as Switcher under lecturer Asna Zukrina Binti Ahmad Zukni, with the recorded material handed over to BEST FM for their internal use. Members of the DJC Club were also actively involved in on-ground media coverage in collaboration with BEST FM’s content creators, producing social media material that further amplified the event. BEST FM, in return, promoted SUC and DJC across their radio channel and digital platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, with several public participants noting that they discovered the audition through BEST FM’s radio announcements—showcasing the strong visibility generated through the partnership. The audition was supported by the presence of key representatives including Ms. Anita T. (Dean of FHSS) , Ms. Nur Nadirah Syaira (HOD, DJC), Ms. Lah Wan Yee (Senior Lecturer), along with BEST FM’s Encik Mohd Razif Binti Mohd Rosdi (General Manager), DJ Aiman Sabri (On-Air Talent), Encik Irfan Aiman Ishak (Sales & Marketing), Encik Amin Aizuddin Maharam (Technical/Station Crew), and other team members. This collaboration proved mutually beneficial, as SUC provided a professional studio environment and technical support while BEST FM offered significant promotional value and industry exposure, ultimately enriching students with real-world broadcasting experience, professional networking opportunities, and practical production skills—strengthening SUC’s commitment to industry-based learning and media education.
南方大学学院（Southern University College，SUC）通过人文与社会科学学院（Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences，FHSS）旗下的新闻与传播系（Department of Journalism & Communication，DJC），于12月10日在IEB二楼新媒体中心录音室成功举办了 BEST FM 人才搜寻公开试音（BEST FM Talent Search Open Audition）。活动从上午9时至下午6时顺利进行，早上8时30分开始进行场地与设备布置。
本次活动反应热烈，共吸引了15名参与者，涵盖SUC在籍学生及社会公众，充分展现大众对广播主持领域的高度兴趣。试音过程中，参与者展现了各自的声音表现力、个人魅力及电台主持潜质，最终共有四名SUC学生成功获得象征专业认可的 BBB Card，晋级下一轮试音，另有两名校外参与者同样成功晋级。
除试音环节外，该活动亦成为SUC学生，尤其是大众传播相关科系学生的重要体验式学习平台。学生得以近距离观察真实的业界评选标准、广播员选拔条件以及专业试音流程，深化对广播行业运作的理解。试音过程同时采用 多机位制作（Multi-Camera Production, MCP） 进行录制，为广播新闻与数码叙事专业的学生提供实践机会。其中，学生 Kelly Gan 在讲师 Asna Zukrina Binti Ahmad Zukni 的指导下担任切换台操作员（Switcher），相关录制素材亦已移交予 BEST FM 作为内部用途。
此外，DJC Club 成员亦积极参与现场媒体制作，并与 BEST FM 内容团队合作，制作社交媒体内容以扩大活动影响力。作为回馈，BEST FM 通过其电台频道及 TikTok、Instagram 等数码平台推广 SUC 与 DJC，多位公众参与者也表示是通过 BEST FM 的电台宣传得知本次试音活动，充分体现双方合作所带来的高度曝光效果。
活动当天亦获得多位重要代表出席支持，包括 FHSS 院长 Ms. Anita T.、DJC 系主任 Ms. Nur Nadirah Syaira、高级讲师 Ms. Lah Wan Yee，以及 BEST FM 团队代表——总经理 Encik Mohd Razif Binti Mohd Rosdi、电台主持 DJ Aiman Sabri、市场与销售代表 Encik Irfan Aiman Ishak、技术／电台团队成员 Encik Amin Aizuddin Maharam 及其他工作人员。
整体而言，此次合作实现了双赢局面：SUC 提供专业录音室环境及技术支援，而 BEST FM 则带来广泛的宣传效益与真实的业界曝光。这不仅让学生获得宝贵的实务广播经验、业界人脉与制作技能，也进一步巩固了 SUC 在产业导向学习及媒体教育方面的承诺与实力。
