MOU Signing Ceremony: Southern University College & Johor Sand & Granite Lorry Operators’ Association

Southern University College, through the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), successfully held its MOU Signing Ceremony with the Johor Sand & Granite Lorry Operators’ Association on 12 December 2025 at 2.00 p.m.

The event began with video presentations introducing Southern UC and the Diploma in Logistics Management (DLM) programme. Official remarks were then delivered by Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang, President of Southern UC, and Mr. Frankie Chia Jee Onn, President of the Association. A student representative, Ms. Sim Shu Wei, also shared her reflections on the collaboration.

The main highlight of the event was the official signing of the MOU, which aims to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia. The objective of this MOU is to create opportunities for student development, industry exposure, joint programmes, training activities, research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing efforts that will benefit FBM students and lecturers, as well as the logistics industry.

This MOU marks a meaningful partnership that reinforces FBM’s commitment to enhancing learning experiences and fostering stronger connections with the logistics sector.

南方大学学院通过企业与管理学院(FBM)，于2025年12月12日下午2时，正式与柔佛砂石罗里同业公会签署谅解备忘录（MOU）。

活动以播放介绍南方大学学院及物流管理文凭课程（DLM）的影片拉开序幕。随后，南方大学学院校长 蔡润煌教授 与柔佛砂石罗里同业公会会长谢儒安先生分别发表致辞。学生代表 沈淑微 也分享了她对这次合作的感想。

活动的重点是正式签署谅解备忘录，旨在加强工业与学术界的合作。该备忘录的目标是为学生发展、行业体验、联合课程、培训活动、研究计划以及知识共享创造机会，并且惠及学院的学生和讲师，乃至整个物流行业。

此次的备忘录签署，标志着一个意义重大的合作伙伴关系，进一步彰显企业与管理学院致力于提升学习体验并与物流领域建立更紧密联系的承诺。
