THE REEL AND REVEAL AWARDS 2026 CELEBRATES CREATIVE EXCELLENCE AMONG MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS

Johor Bahru, 15 January 2026 —

The Reel and Reveal Awards 2026 was successfully held on 15 January 2026 at Southern University College, serving as both an academic presentation platform and an award recognition ceremony for students of Bachelor of Communication (Honours) (Mass Communication).

Led by the Lecturer-in-Charge, Ms Asna Zukrina Ahmad Zukni, the event featured final project presentations from Digital Storytelling, Film and Media Studies, and Photojournalism courses.

Digital Storytelling students presented Multi-Camera Production (MCP) podcast projects themed Johor Bahru Food Price and K-Pop Life Diaries, demonstrating strong research, technical, and storytelling skills.

Film and Media Studies students showcased short films on cyberbullying and photojournalism students presented photographic works under the concept “Moment on the Street”, capturing authentic street-life moments.

The event was attended by students, alumni, and lecturers.

2026年“Reel and Reveal Awards”于2026年1月15日在南方大学学院圆满举行。该活动不仅是学术成果展示平台，同时也是大众传播（荣誉）学士学位学生的表彰与颁奖典礼。

在阿斯娜·祖克里娜讲师的带领下，活动展示了来自数字叙事、电影与媒体研究以及新闻摄影课程的学生项目成果。

数字叙事课程的学生展示了多机位制作（MCP）播客项目，主题包括“新山食物价格”与“K-Pop生活日记”，展现了扎实的研究能力、技术能力与叙事技巧。电影与媒体研究学生呈现了关于网络霸凌的短片作品，而新闻摄影学生则以“街头瞬间”为主题展示摄影作品，捕捉真实的街头生活瞬间。

本次活动吸引了学生、校友及讲师出席参与。
