Johor Bahru, February 25 – Southern University College today hosted a grand event on its campus to officially launch the Southern Business School (SBS) and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 11 key strategic partners.
The event commenced at 2:30pm with an opening speech by Chairman, Board of Directors, Southern UC, Dato’ Vincent Tan Meng Seng, Chairman, Board of Governors, Southern UC, Mr. Mok Chek Hou, President, Southern UC, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang. A highlight of the event was the MoU certificate presentation ceremony by En. Herman Raban, General Manager of the Johor Human Capital Strategic Unit, symbolizing the commitment of both parties to enhancing students’ educational and career opportunities through collaboration.
During the panel discussion, special guests including Dato’ Jeffrey Lai Jiun Jye, President of the Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Ng Kuan Khai, Consul General of Singapore in Johor Bahru, and YB Tuan Lee Ting Han, Chairman, Johor Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs, and Human Resources Committee, shared insights on the importance of academia-industry collaboration in driving regional development.
The ceremony attracted numerous distinguished guests, including consuls and representatives from Singapore and Indonesia, as well as academic and industry leaders, highlighting the Southern Business School’s commitment to academic excellence and strengthening ties with the business community.

南方大学学院，正式启动南方商学院（Southern Business School）并与11家企业签署了合作备忘录（MOUs）。
仪式于下午2:30正式拉开帷幕，首先由南方大学学院董事长拿督陈洺臣，南方大学学院理事长莫泽浩先生，校长蔡润煌教授发表了开幕致辞。活动的亮点之一是由柔佛州人力资本战略单位（Johor Human Capital Strategic Unit）总经理 En. Herman Raban 颁发的MOU证书仪式，象征着双方致力于通过合作提升学生的教育与职业机会。
在专题分享环节方面，特别邀请了拿督赖君杰，即新山中华总商会会长，以及新加坡驻新山总领事黄冠凯先生和柔佛州投资、贸易、消费事务及人力资源委员会主席李廷汉行政议员进行专题演讲。嘉宾们分享了学术界与商业界合作在推动区域发展中的重要性。
此次仪式吸引了众多尊贵的嘉宾包括来自新加坡和印尼的领事及代表、学术与行业领袖出席观礼，彰显了南方商学院致力于推动学术卓越及加强与商界联系的决心。
