On 14 June 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding 
was signed between Southern University College, Malaysia and Guangzhou Institute of Technology, China at International Zheng He Academy in Malacca. This MoU aims to promote in-depth cooperation between the two institutions particularly in 
art and design education as well as in 
student and 
academic staff exchanges besides exploring the development of joint education projects.
