With the presence and support of distinguished guests, Southern University College successfully held its 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner on 21 November 2025, themed “Foon Yew Educational Village, Southern Self-Reliance”, commemorating half a century of educational dedication and significant institutional milestones.
The evening commenced with a symbolic gong-beating, drum-beating and ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a series of captivating performances including a guzheng ensemble, cultural performances as well as the presentation of the Southern University College Humanity Spirit Award and Distinguished Alumni Awards. The celebration culminated in a powerful performance by Southern 24 Festive Drums and a stunning fireworks display, offering guests an immersive experience of Southern University College’s fifty-year legacy and cultural spirit.
We were deeply honored by the presence of many esteemed guests including YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport Malaysia and Secretary-General of Democratic Action Party, H.E. Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia along with community leaders, corporate representatives, alumni, and friends of the institution.
During the 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner, YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook announced a RM 500,000.00 contribution from Democratic Action Party and facilitated an additional RM 1 million donations from YTL Group, enabling Southern University College to successfully achieve its RM 10 million Education Development Fund target. This milestone reflects the strong trust and longstanding support from the community, laying a solid foundation for continued growth in the years ahead.

南方大学学院于 2025 年 11 月 21 日隆重举办“50周年校庆晚宴”，主题为《宽柔学村，南方自强》，共同见证南方大学学院半世纪的育人历程与重要发展里程碑。

校庆晚宴上，YB陆兆福宣布民主行动党捐赠50万令吉，并促成杨忠礼集团捐赠100万令吉，助力南方大学学院顺利达成1000万令吉教育发展基金目标，全场随即响起热烈掌声。这一重要里程碑，象征着社会对南方大学学院的高度信任与长期支持，为未来的教育发展奠定更坚实的基础。
