On 2 September 2025, the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering proudly held the Robotic Lab Launching Ceremony at Southern University College. This significant occasion marked a new milestone in advancing robotics and engineering education on campus.

We were also delighted to host Mdm. Tay Yap Hong (Vice Principal), teachers, and students from Foon Yew High School Kulai, who became the first batch of users of the laboratory.
As part of the event, Asst. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Vasanthan Maruthapillai conducted an engaging robotics workshop, providing hands-on experience that inspired and excited the students, igniting curiosity and passion for robotics and innovation.
This launching not only strengthens SUC’s engineering facilities but also creates a platform for future collaborations, industry engagement, and nurturing the next generation of innovators and leaders in robotics. A big thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event. This is a platform where knowledge meets practice, where innovation meets opportunity, and where education meets enterprise. 南方大学学院机器人实验室启动仪式2025年9月2日，南方大学学院电机与电子工程系隆重举行机器人实验室启用典礼，为校园在机器人及工程教育的发展上写下崭新里程碑。
启用典礼由理事长莫泽浩先生，常务董事吴计生先生， 董事符传曙先生，理事Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Jamaluddin， 校长蔡润煌教授， 学术副校长梁龙光教授， 企业与国际化副校长赵佩娟助理教授， 科研与创新副校长蔡瑜绮助理教授， 工程与资讯科技学院院长Shaffika Bte Mohd Suhaimi高级讲师以及电机与电子工程系主任陈百胜高级讲师–共同主持。
