Report on Participation in the Global Conference of Communication, Culture & Contemporary Media (GLOCOM) 2025

Three academic representatives from Southern University College proudly participated in the Global Conference of Communication, Culture & Contemporary Media (GLOCOM), held from 28 to 30 July 2025 in Putrajaya. With the theme “Navigating the Digital Age through the Perspective of Communication and Media,” the conference served as a vital platform for academics and industry practitioners to engage in meaningful discourse and exchange critical insights on the evolving media landscape in the digital era.

Southern University College was represented by:

• Ms Shaffika Bte Mohd Suhaimi, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology (FEIT)

• Ms Nur Shamilla Binti Selamat, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology (FEIT)

• Ms Lah Wan Yee, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences (FHSS)

The university’s presence was marked by notable achievements:

• Ms Lah Wan Yee was honoured with the Best Presenter Award, recognizing her outstanding presentation skills and research contribution.

• Ms Nur Shamilla Binti Selamat received the Best Poster Award, highlighting excellence in visual communication of research.

• Ms Shaffika Bte Mohd Suhaimi served as co-author on both award-winning research papers, reflecting strong collaborative efforts and cross-disciplinary scholarship within Southern University College.

This participation not only demonstrated the lecturers’ academic excellence but also underscored their commitment to advancing knowledge in communication and media studies. 南方大学学院参与2025年全球传播、文化与当代媒体大会（GLOCOM）报告

南方大学学院三位学术代表荣幸出席于2025年7月28日至30日在布城举办的全球传播、文化与当代媒体大会（GLOCOM）。本次大会以“以传播与媒体的视角导航数字时代”为主题，为学术界与业界人士提供了一个重要的平台，就数字时代不断演变的媒体生态进行深入交流与思想碰撞。

本校代表包括：
