Gold Award for Industry–Academic Teaching Innovation Project “From Ideas to Screen”

In response to the rapid transformation of media driven by Artificial Intelligence, Ms Lah Wan Yee, Asst. Prof. Dr. New Kuwi Hoi, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said developed an industry–academic teaching model that bridges classroom learning with professional practice. The initiative integrates experiential learning, project-based pedagogy, and industry mentoring to provide students with authentic media production experience.

Titled From Ideas to Screen: A Collaborative Industry-Academic Model for Enhancing Employability and Promoting Malaysia’s Media Creativity, the project simulates real industry workflows, including pitching, production planning, and professional presentations. It strengthens technical competence, critical thinking, teamwork, and ethical awareness while aligning curriculum outcomes with industry standards.

On 16 January 2026, the project won the Gold Award at the Virtual Innovation Competition Exhibition 2025, organized by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development and KIK KPTM Bangi, earning national recognition for innovation in teaching and learning.

面对人工智能迅速改变媒体生态，人文与社会科学学院三位讲师 – 林婉仪高级讲师、梁桂花助理教授及 Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said 助理教授，共同推动产学协作教学创新模式，加强课堂与行业实践的衔接。团队认为，学生除了理论知识，更需真实行业体验，因而建立以实践为导向的教学框架，融合体验式学习、项目制教学及产业导师指导。

该项目《从创意到荧幕：提升就业能力与推广马来西亚媒体创意的产学协作教学模式》模拟真实媒体工作流程，包括提案、制作策划及专业汇报。此模式有效提升学生的实务能力、批判思维、团队合作与职业伦理意识，并确保课程成果与行业标准接轨。同时，项目设有可量化评估机制及业界反馈体系，以持续优化教学质量。

2026年1月16日，项目在由乡村及区域发展部与 KIK KPTM Bangi 主办的“2025虚拟创新竞赛展览”中荣获专业组（金奖），并入选官方电子论文集，获得国家层面的高度肯定。
