🎓 FAD Field Trip 2026 | Industry Exposure in Packaging Design 🎓

On 16 January 2026, students from the Faculty of Art & Design (FAD), Southern University College, participated in a field trip to DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd., a company specializing in product packaging manufacturing, located at Desa Cemerlang, Johor Bahru. The visit was led by the Deputy Dean of FAD, Ms. Ong Ei Lin, together with 32 students from:

Bachelor in Computer Graphic Design (Honours)

Bachelor in Industrial Design (Honours)

Diploma in Industrial Design

All participating students are currently undertaking the Packaging Design module, making this visit a valuable hands-on learning experience.

We were honoured to have the Founder of DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Nelson Lu, who generously shared his valuable industrial experience, including client management strategies and the manufacturing process of packaging products. Students also explored the production facilities, gaining exposure to various printing processes and packaging materials used in the industry.

DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd. is one of the FAD’s industry collaborating partners, consistently supporting the faculty by sharing packaging manufacturing knowledge aligned with current industry needs. Their continuous collaboration plays an important role in bridging academic learning with industry practices.

2026年1月16日，来自 南方大学学院（Southern University College）艺术与设计学院（FAD） 的师生前往位于柔佛新山 Desa Cemerlang 的 DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd. 进行实地考察。该公司是一家专注于产品包装制造的企业。本次参访由艺术与设计学院副院长的带领，共 32 位学生参与，分别来自以下课程：

所有参与学生目前皆修读 包装设计（Packaging Design） 课程，此次实地考察为学生们提供了宝贵的实践学习机会。

我们非常荣幸邀请到 DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd. 创办人 Mr. Nelson Lu，亲自向学生分享其丰富的产业经验，包括 客户管理方式，以及 包装产品的制造流程。学生们也参观了公司的生产设施，深入了解 多种印刷技术与不同包装材料的应用。

除此之外，DSN Advance Technology Sdn. Bhd. 也是艺术与设计学院的产业合作伙伴之一。持续为学院提供支持，并分享符合当前产业需求的包装制造知识与经验，有效促进学术与产业之间的紧密交流。
