Congratulations! The Faculty of Art & Design proudly congratulates Ho Pooi Chuan, under the guidance of Lai Yuet Lee (Senior Lecturer), on receiving the Merit Award for Best Film & Audio Craft (Animation) at the Student Kancil Awards 2025.
His creative project, Fox Wedding, is an enchanting animation that masterfully combines storytelling with a unique visual style—blending traditional Chinese ink wash painting with modern 2D animation techniques—and immersive sound design to capture the whimsical and emotional journey of its characters.
Selected from over 900 submissions nationwide, this achievement not only highlights his artistic excellence but also reflects his dedication, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail.
Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), the Student Kancil Awards is a prestigious platform recognising emerging creative talents from public and private colleges and universities. Entries are judged by leading creative professionals from Malaysia’s advertising industry. The faculty is immensely proud to see our student recognised on such a respected national stage.
恭喜获奖！ 艺术与设计学院谨此热烈祝贺 何沛权 同学，在指导讲师 Lai Yuet Lee 的带领下，于 2025 年学生 Kancil 奖（Student Kancil Awards） 中，凭借动画作品荣获 最佳影片与音效工艺（动画类）优异奖（Merit Award）。
其创作项目《狐禧》（Fox Wedding）是一部引人入胜的动画作品，巧妙融合动人叙事与独特视觉风格，将传统中国水墨画美学与现代二维动画技术相结合，并配以沉浸式的声音设计，生动呈现角色奇幻而富有情感的旅程。
在全国 900 多件参赛作品 中脱颖而出，这一殊荣不仅彰显了他卓越的艺术才华，也体现了其对创作的高度投入、创新精神以及对细节的极致追求。
学生 Kancil 奖 由马来西亚认证广告代理协会（4As）主办，是面向公立与私立学院及大学新锐创意人才的权威平台，参赛作品由马来西亚广告行业顶尖创意专业人士评审。学院深感自豪，见证学生在如此备受尊敬的国家级舞台上获得肯定。
