The Department of Chinese Studies at Southern University College is the pioneering Chinese Studies department approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, preceeding all other Chinese communityfunded universities in Malaysia. The objective of the Diploma in Chinese Studies programme is to foster the interest in Chinese Studies among students at the preuniversity level. Our curriculum focuses on literature, history and philosophy of classical Chinese, as well as modern Western humanities. In addition, our department incorporates Malaysian Chinese literature and Malaysian culture into the framework of the programme.MAQ
