Southern University College held a scholarship donation and handover ceremony for the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia. This year, the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia donated RM40,000 in scholarship, awarded to students on the Dean’s List with a CGPA of 3.80 or above for the second and third semesters 2024. After review, 30 students from the second semester were identified as eligible and received the scholarships.
At the ceremony, Minister Zheng Xuefang from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia handed over the scholarship funds, which was received by Southern University College‘s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dato’ Vincent Tan Meng Seng, together with Mr. Mok Chek Hou, Chairman of the Board of Governors and Mr. Ho Soon Sing, Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors and SUC President Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Juat Hong, Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine, introduced the collaborative projects between the Southern UC and the Confucius Institute. He also guided the guests on a tour of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre. During the visit, Minister Zheng engaged in a pleasant exchange with the university leadership, further strengthening mutual cooperation and friendship.

中国大使奖学金捐赠暨移交仪式，30名南院生受惠
南方大学学院于今日举行了中国大使奖学金捐赠暨移交仪式。今年，中国驻马来西亚大使馆捐赠了4万令吉作为奖学金，授予本学年第二学期与第三学期CGPA达到3.80或以上的学院优异奖（Dean’s List）学生。经严格筛选后，第二学期共有30位同学符合资格并将会获得此奖学金。
在移交仪式上，中国驻马来西亚大使馆郑学方公使亲自移交奖学金，由南方大学学院董事长拿督陈洺臣代表接领，理事长莫泽浩先生、副理事长何舜成先生以及校长蔡润煌教授陪同见证。
此外，南方大学学院中医药学院院长林悦鸿副教授向贵宾介绍了该学院与孔子学院的合作项目，并带领一众贵宾参观了中医药学院。期间，郑公使与校方领导们进行了亲切交流，进一步深化了双方的合作与友谊。
