Southern University College (Southern UC) was honoured to be invited by Foon Yew High School (Kulai) to conduct an advanced AI Teaching Workshop for over 200 teachers on 15 December 2025.
Representing the Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology and the AI Centre of Excellence, Ts. Chan Ler-Kuan and Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Lim Wei Jer led an engaging and practical session on how AI can be effectively and responsibly integrated into teaching, learning, and assessment.
Workshop Highlights:
COSTAR Prompt Framework for accurate lesson planning and intelligent question generation Prompt Frameworks (RTF, BAB, RISE) to streamline assessment design and classroom activities Smart Agent Development – creating subject-specific AI agents for automated workflows such as question banks, rubrics, and interactive learning Assessment Readiness – enhancing exam originality and fairness, reducing duplication, and minimizing AI-related plagiarism risks Data Privacy & Security – safeguarding sensitive student information through local and controlled AI environmentsFrom prompts to smart agents, AI is redefining how assessments are designed and delivered in education.
