Progress Meeting on SUC and PPAJ Joint Event “Piknik Membaca”

          

Three lecturers from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Southern University College (SUC), Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said, Ms Lah Wan Yee and Asst. Prof. Dr. New Kuwi Hoi, held a fruitful meeting with Puan Ungku Hajah Noorakmal Binti Ungku Sulaiman, Director of Johor Public Library Corporation (PPAJ), on 19 December 2025. The meeting focused on the progress of event planning for Piknik Membaca, a collaborative initiative by SUC and PPAJ aimed at promoting the joy of reading through interactive, outdoor activities.

The event will be held at the SUC Basketball Court on 30 December 2025 (Tuesday), from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., featuring books, music, food, and engaging activities for participants of all ages. It will be followed by a segment appreciating patriotic songs, a short film screening, and a panel discussion on the creative industry. The event has been warmed up with a book donation campaign and radio announcements on AiFM from 16 to 29 December 2025. All are welcome to join this meaningful community event. See you there.

南方大学学院人文与社会科学学院三位讲师,、Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said, 林婉仪高级讲师与Asst. Prof. Dr. New Kuwi Hoi，于2025年12月19日与柔佛州公共图书馆机构（PPAJ）总监Puan Ungku Hajah Noorakmal Binti Ungku Sulaiman 进行了富有成效的会议。会议主要讨论由南方大学学院与 PPAJ 联合主办的“野读时光Piknik Membaca”活动筹备进展，该活动旨在通过互动式的户外活动，激发大众对阅读的兴趣与热情。

“野读时光”将于2025年12月30日（星期二）上午9时至下午1时，在南方大学学院篮球场举行，现场将结合书籍、音乐、美食及多元活动，适合各年龄层参与。活动随后还包括爱国歌曲欣赏、短片放映以及创意产业主题座谈会。为提前暖身，主办单位已展开图书捐赠活动，并在 12月16日至29日期间于AiFM 电台进行宣传广播。欢迎大众踊跃参与，共襄盛举，到时候现场见。
