Southern University College is proud to share that our President, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang was honoured to serve as a panelist in the forum on Responsible AI – Governance, Ethics and Standard in the ASEAN Context which was held during the 1st ASEAN–China AI Convention 2025 on 11 September 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.
The discussion explored how ASEAN and China can work together to build trustworthy AI systems that balance innovation, safety, and inclusivity. Prof. Chuah shared his valuable insights and experiences, drawing from his roles as President of Southern University College and Secretary-General of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO).
We extend our congratulations to Prof. Chuah for representing the university and contributing to the regional dialogue on responsible AI and its impact on the future of engineering and education in ASEAN.
