2025 Educational Insight & Networking Event

31 October – 1 November 2025 – The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) successfully hosted the 2025 Educational Insight & Networking Event, themed “Transforming Education, Media, Language, and Mental Well-being for a Sustainable Future”. The two-day event brought together local and international educators, industry partners, and academic leaders to share ideas and build collaborations.

The event was honoured by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, Johor Bahru, along with representatives from key partner institutions. A major highlight was the signing of four Letters of Intent (LOI) with all the leaders from: Institut Penyiaran & Penerangan Tun Abdul Razak (IPPTAR), Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Johor (PPAJ),Persatuan Pekerja Profesional Filem Malaysia (PROFIMA) and one Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bellis Education Consultant Sdn. Bhd. – Tadika Cahaya Bellis. The occasion was attended by the President of SUC, the Board of Directors Chairman, Vice Presidents, and other distinguished representatives.

The programme featured a keynote by Associate Professor Dr. Arif Datoem from Siji Art Management, Jakarta, and a live talk and forum from Taiwan by Adjunct Professor Prof. Chun-Yin Doris Chen from National Taiwan Normal University, together with an English lecturer from Southern University.

Over the two days, participants also joined sharing sessions, interactive workshops, educational booths, and competitions by experts from various fields, all aligned with the event themes. The sessions emphasized practical knowledge, best practices, and collaborative learning.

FHSS looks forward to using these partnerships to enhance learning experiences and strengthen connections. The Dean reaffirmed FHSS’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships and providing platforms for knowledge exchange to benefit students and educators alike, and expressed excitement for initiatives aligned with Visit Malaysia 2026 and Visit Johor 2026.

此次盛会荣幸邀请到印度尼西亚驻柔佛新山总领事及多家合作机构代表莅临出席。此盛会的一大亮点是本校与敦拉萨广播及新闻学院（IPPTAR）、柔佛州城市图书馆（PPAJ）、马来西亚专业电影工作者协会（PROFIMA）签署了合作意向书（Letters of Intent (LOI)， 并与Bellis Education Consultant Sdn. Bhd. – Tadika Cahaya Bellis签署了一份合作备忘录（Memorandum of Understanding, MOU）。南方大学学院校长、董事会主席、三位副校长及多为嘉宾亦亲临见证此次重要时刻。

大会特别邀请来自雅加达Siji Art Management的副教授Dr. Arif Datoem发表主题演讲。此外，台湾师范大学兼任教授陈纯音与南方大学学院英文系讲师携手呈现来自台湾的现场直播讲座与论坛。

在这为期两日的活动中，参与者积极投入由各领域专家主导的专题分享、互动工作坊、教育展位与竞赛活动，所有环节皆紧扣大会主题，着重实务知识、最佳实践及协作学习的理念的推广。

人文与社会科学学院期待通过这些合作关系进一步丰富学习体验并强化交流联系。院长重申，学院将持续致力于推动稳固的合作伙伴关系，并提供知识交流的平台，让学生与教育者共同受益。同时，她也对配合“马来西亚旅游年2026”及“柔佛旅游年2026”的相关计划表示期待与支持。
