Course Duration: Full-Time: 1 – 3 years; Part-Time: 2 – 5 years
Master of Chinese Studies is a coursework-mode programme, which focuses on Chinese literature, covering ancient Chinese literature, modern and contemporary literature, and literary theory. It also expands its scope to include world /global Chinese literature and Malaysian Chinese literature, enabling students to appreciate the rich and diverse dimensions of Chinese literature and cultivate a research mindset that transcends regions boundaries and integrates both past and present perspectives.
The course content is not limited to pure literature / literature alone, but also includes ancient text, Chinese philology, and linguistics helping students develop a holistic view of Chinese culture and literature.Courses of Study
Students are required to complete 40 credits to graduate, including 28 credits of core courses (equivalent to 7 courses), 6 credits of elective courses (equivalent to 2 courses), and 6 credits of research project. The courses are as follows
