Inheriting the tradition of Sinology, the Master of Arts in Chinese Studies integrates the study of ancient and modern Chinese language, literature, history, and philosophy. At the same time, the programme transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries by incorporating emerging fields such as Chinese Ethnic Studies, Malaysian Chinese Literature, Southeast Asian Culture, and East-West Comparative Studies.
Courses of Study
Students may enroll in the programme on either a fulltime or part-time basis. They are required to complete 15 credits, including 6 credits of core courses and 9 credits for a research-based thesis.
Research Methodology in Chinese Studies (3 credits)
