Alumni Online Meeting on 30th December 2020
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering hold an online meeting with DEE alumni on 30th December 2020. The purpose of the meeting was to build a platform for alumni and DEE students to exchange and share ideas and experiences. Its serves as a platform to get the feedback of the alumni on the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) and Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs). Also, to rate the importance or relevant of the PEOs and PLOs statements. In addition, the meeting provided ideas for improvements not only in terms of the academics, but also the facilities and practical components, such as recent technology and development. From the meeting, DEE students have the opportunities to understand the current social development trends that will help them to prepare their first step in future career path.
During the meeting, alumni and DEE students discussed on the rise of online learning during the pandemic Covid 19. Education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. With this sudden shift away from the classroom, some are wondering whether the adoption of online learning will impact the academic learning progress. Student also interested to be given the opportunity to pursue their programme elsewhere through the transfer programme or exchange programme. Since that our DEE programme is to be recognized by Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), it is important that the transfer programme/exchange programme is recognized by the Board of Engineer (BEM)
The meeting session end in a happy atmosphere with a virtual group photo
