On 20 November 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said and Ms. Lah Wan Yee from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences were invited by MDIS Malaysia International College as distinguished panellists for a dialogue session titled “Ethics in Algorithms We Trust.” The forum brought together an audience of over 300 students from MDIS and Southern University College, reflecting strong interest in the evolving role of artificial intelligence across creative and technical fields.

During the session, both panellists shared insightful perspectives on the ethical considerations surrounding AI-driven decision-making and its implications for the future workforce. The discussion highlighted how AI is transforming the way students in media, filmmaking, language, and IT disciplines learn, create, and innovate. Real-world examples were presented to illustrate the growing integration of AI tools in content production, digital storytelling, language processing, and software development.

The audience actively participated in the Q&A segment, raising thoughtful questions on issues such as authenticity in AI-generated content, responsible usage, and the balance between creativity and automation. The forum also explored the challenges and opportunities that arise when AI intersects with creative work, including concerns about originality, data ethics, and the need for new skillsets. Overall, the event successfully fostered meaningful dialogue and encouraged students to approach AI with both curiosity and ethical awareness.
