On behalf of Department of Computer Science, from Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), we are incredibly proud to announce the remarkable achievement of our Bachelor of Software Engineering (BoS) students, Mii Si Heng (team leader) and Jim Ng Ying Gee, along with their dedicated lecturers, Ms. Khairunnisha and Ms. Shaffika, for winning the Gold Medal at the Virtual International Breakthrough Invention, Innovation & Design Exhibition (VI-BIIDE 2024)! 
Their innovative project, titled “Harnessing Technology for Sustainable Dining: The POSitive GreenTech Approach,” showcased a creative solution for promoting sustainability in the food and beverage industry through cutting-edge technology. This outstanding work not only caught the attention of the judges but also positioned our team as pioneers in the realm of sustainable tech. VI-BIIDE is a prestigious international platform that brings together the best and brightest in invention, innovation, and design. Our team’s success speaks volumes about their technical expertise, ingenuity, and commitment to solving real-world challenges through technology.
A special mention goes to Southern University College (SUC) and Institute of Graduate Studies & Research (IGSR) for its continuous support in nurturing and empowering our students to reach new heights. This win is a testament to the collaborative efforts of both students and mentors, as well as the institution’s dedication to innovation and education.
