Southern University College Supports 5-Day Python & AI Discovery Bootcamp Organized by 42 Iskandar Puteri

Southern University College (Southern UC) has lent its support to the 5-day Python & AI Discovery Bootcamp, organized by 42 Iskandar Puteri (42IP), which aims to introduce students to the world of programming and artificial intelligence. Over 80 students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) and the Faculty of Art and Design (FAD) have registered for this exciting and immersive bootcamp.

The event kicked off on March 17, 2025, with Southern UC’s leadership team in attendance. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang, President of Southern UC, along with Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Teo Pei Kian, Vice President of Research & Innovation, Ms. Shaffika Bte Mohd Suhaimi, Dean of FEIT, Ms. Ong Ei Lin, Deputy Dean of FAD, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chng Chern Wei, Head of Computer Science, joined the students on the first day of the bootcamp to show their support and enthusiasm for this educational initiative.

The students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Masha Tan, Head of 42IP, who addressed the participants and outlined the goals of the bootcamp. The event is designed to offer participants hands-on experience in coding, AI development, and problem-solving, with the intention of equipping them with vital technical skills for future careers in technology.

A special highlight of the day was the visit from YB Tuan Aznan Tamin, Chairman of the Johor State Education and Information Committee, who visited 42IP and met with the Southern UC team. YB Tuan Aznan expressed his support for initiatives that help foster the growth of digital skills among students and emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions to empower youth in the digital age.Southern University College continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence and innovation by supporting initiatives like the Python & AI Discovery Bootcamp, preparing students for a successful future in the rapidly-evolving tech industry.

南方大学学院全力支持由42 Iskandar Puteri（42IP）组织的五天Python与人工智能探索训练营，该训练营旨在为学生打开编程和人工智能的世界。来自工程与资讯学院（FEIT）和艺术与设计学院（FAD）超过80名学生报名参加了这一项有意义的训练营。

该活动于2025年3月17日正式启动，南方大学学院的领导团队出席了活动。南方大学学院校长蔡润煌教授、研究与创新副校长赵佩娟助理教授、工程与信息技术学院院长Ms.Shaffika、艺术与设计学院副院长王依琳高级讲师以及计算机科学系主任庄正伟助理教授，齐聚在训练营的第一天，与学生们一起，展现对这项活动的全力支持。

42IP的负责人Marsha Tan热情欢迎所有学生，并向与会者介绍了本次训练营的目标。该活动旨在为参与者提供编程、人工智能开发和问题解决的实践经验，旨在帮助学生掌握未来在技术领域职业生涯中所需的核心技术技能。

当天的一个特别亮点是柔佛州教育与信息委员会主席YB Tuan Aznan Tamin行政议员，他参观了42IP并与南方大学学院团队进行了会面。YB Tuan Aznan表示支持推动学生数字技能发展的各项举措，并强调了教育机构之间合作的重要性，以在数码时代赋能青年。
