On 19 August 2025, Smart Freesia Consultancy, a business and financial consultancy, visited to Southern University College to share valuable insights about financial planning and loans with students from the Faculty of Business and Management.
Two experienced speakers, Mr. Lee Heng Leng and Ms. Christy Wong, deep dived into various types of loans and the importance of smart financial planning. Students from Bachelor programs gained practical knowledge about debt and financial credibility, which they can apply to real-life situations such as major life purchases like buying their first home. During the Q&A session, students raised questions about financial credibility checks, housing loans, and other personal finance topics.
Smart Freesia Consultancy also announced an exciting bonus, which is the internship opportunities for students, providing them a potential gateway into the industry. Dedicated lecturers, Ms. Sangita, Ms. Nur Adibah, and Mr. Noor Azinuddin from the faculty were equally grateful for such engaging collaborations which reinforced the importance of connecting theory with practical know-how.
The session ended with the presentation of souvenirs to the guest speakers by Dr. Joann Lim, Dean of FBM, and a group photo capturing this memorable occasion.
