Foon Yew High School Kulai Students Explore TCM at Southern University College

On July 2, 2025, a group of 37 senior high school students and 3 teachers from Foon Yew High School Kulai who are taking Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) elective course visited Faculty of Chinese Medicine at Southern University College for an exchange session, led by TCM practitioner Ms. Chun Li Chong. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Juat Hong, Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Medicine introduced Malaysian Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act as well as the key features of the FCM programmes offered at Southern University College. In addition, under the guidance of Head of Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Soh Chiun Siung and students from Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Honours) programme, the visitors participated in a cupping therapy workshop. They learned techniques such as moving cupping, flash cupping, and retained cupping. The hands-on experience allowed the teachers and students to gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of TCM practices.

2025年7月2日，宽柔中学古来分校选修中医学课程的37位高中生及3位教师，在陈丽琼医师的带领下，前来南方大学学院中医药学院进行交流访问。院长林悦鸿副教授向来宾介绍了马来西亚《传统与辅助医药法令》以及本院课程的特色。此外，宽柔中学古来分校师生在苏俊雄助理教授和本校中医本科的学长姐的指导下，进行了拔罐疗法工作坊，如走罐、闪罐、留罐等。透过此工作坊让该校师生们亲自体验拔罐过程，增广见闻，获益良多。
