We are pleased to announce that a team from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Southern University College, has successfully stood out among more than 200 participating teams nationwide, securing a place in the Top 56 Finals of INNOVATHON® Season 3.
Project Overview: The ObstaSense
The ObstaSense is a revolutionary intelligent assistive innovation device designed to enhance the independence, safety, and mobility of individuals with visual impairment and the elderly. Through the power of technology, the project aims to improve quality of life and promote the development of a more inclusive society.
The team’s video was officially broadcast on 3 January 2026 during INNOVATHON® Season 3 · Episode 5, where the team presented and demonstrated their innovative solution in full.
The team video will be uploaded to the official INNOVATHON website on 6 January 2026 for public viewing and sharing.
