Strengthening Partnerships for Educator Development

On 14 November 2025, Southern University College was honoured to host a constructive discussion with Ms. Chuah Soo Cheng K.M.W., Executive Advisor of the National Union of Heads of Schools, Malaysia (Kesatuan Kebangsaan Guru-Guru Besar Malaysia). We sincerely appreciate Ms. Chuah taking her time to join us for this significant engagement.

The meeting was chaired by our President, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang together with Prof. ChM. Dr. Leong Loong Kong (Vice President, Academic), Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Teo Pei Kian (Apple) (Vice President, Corporatisation & Internationalisation), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chua Yee Chii (Vice President, Research & Innovation).

During the dialogue, both parties exchanged insightful views on strengthening the education sector through the cultivation of future school leaders and teachers. The conversation focused on encouraging more school personnel to pursue higher qualifications whether at the bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced levels to enhance their professional competencies and leadership capacity. The exchange also explored collaborative opportunities including potential professional development programmes, leadership training, and mentorship initiatives for teachers and school principals nationwide.

This engagement represented another meaningful step in our shared commitment to elevating the quality of education and nurturing the next generation of educators and school leaders.

2025年11月14日，南方大学学院荣幸接待了马来西亚全国校长职工会执行顾问蔡淑祯校长，进行建设性座谈。我们衷心感谢蔡淑祯校长特地远道而来，参与此次重要交流。

此次交流会由南方大学学院校长蔡润煌教授主持，与会副校长包括梁龙光教授、赵佩娟助理教授及蔡瑜绮助理教授。

在交流中，双方就教育领域的发展分享了深刻见解，重点探讨如何培养未来学校领导者与教师队伍。会议强调，鼓励更多学校人员提升学历，无论是学士、硕士或更高学位，以增强专业能力及领导力。双方亦探讨合作机会，包括未来教师及校长培训计划、领导力发展项目以及导师计划，以全面提升教育人才培养水平。

此次座谈标志着双方在提升教育质量、培养新一代教育工作者与学校领导者方面迈出了又一重要步伐。
