Career Exhibition at SJK(C) Foon Yew 3

Johor Bahru, 13 August 2025 – The Department of Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Southern University College (Southern UC), successfully organized a vibrant Career Exhibition at SJK(C) Foon Yew 3, sparking curiosity and career aspirations among more than 360 upper-level primary school students.

Themed around John Holland’s RIASEC Career Domains, the exhibition was specially designed to help children explore various occupations in a fun, engaging, and child-friendly manner. Students explored potential career paths through experiential booths, interactive board games, career e-posters, and simplified career assessments, allowing them to discover personal interests while gaining insights into real-world professions.

The event was conducted by a dedicated team of Psychology and Counselling students and lecturers. The team worked tirelessly to set up the booths, facilitate activities, and guide participants through interactive learning sessions. The exhibition not only benefited students of SJK(C) Foon Yew 3 but also provided Southern UC counselling and psychology undergraduates with valuable industrial exposure by applying classroom knowledge in a real educational setting. This collaboration strengthened ties between Southern UC and the school, paving the way for future community engagement initiatives aligned with the Malaysian National Education Blueprint (2013–2025).

The event concluded with a closing ceremony and photo session, followed by a networking lunch with school representatives that ended at 3.00 pm. The Career Exhibition stands as a testament to Southern UC’s commitment to bridging academic learning with community service, ensuring that career education begins early and inclusively.

本次职业展以 霍兰德（John Holland）职业兴趣类型理论 RIASEC 为主题，设计形式新颖活泼，兼顾趣味性与教育性。现场设有体验摊位、职业电子海报、互动桌游以及简易职业测评，带领学生们在轻松愉快的氛围中探索兴趣，初步了解不同职业的特质与内涵，收获满满。

展览由心理与辅导系的讲师与学生共同筹办。团队不仅精心策划与布置活动内容，还全程引导同学们参与互动学习环节，确保活动顺利进行。此次活动不仅为宽柔国民型第三小学的学生带来丰富的学习体验，也为南方大学学院心理与辅导专业的本科生提供了宝贵的实践机会，让他们能在真实的教育环境中运用课堂所学，提升专业素养。

此次合作也进一步加深了南方大学学院与社区学校的联系，为未来更多契合《马来西亚教育蓝图（2013–2025）》的社区服务与教育合作项目奠定了良好基础。

活动在闭幕仪式和大合照中圆满结束，随后南方大学学院代表与教师进行交流午宴，并于下午3时正式落幕。
