The Faculty of Art and Design, Southern University College, was honoured to be invited to participate in the Festival Budaya Malaysia, jointly organized by the Long Tian Martial Arts Dragon & Lion Dance Association and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), in conjunction with the Johor Tourism Year 2026 Launch. The festival was successfully held from 12 to 14 December 2025 at Dataran Bandaraya, Johor Bahru.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As part of the event, the Chinese cultural zone titled \u201cHarmony in Dragon Rhythms\u201d, a dedicated Chinese Cultural Heritage Area, appointed the Faculty of Art and Design, Southern University College, as the overall visual planning and design partner. The project was led by Senior Lecturer Mr. Yew Leong Fei, who guided a professional student team comprising Ling Wei Zhi and Teh Wen Ying. Within a tight timeframe of less than one month, the team successfully completed more than twenty design and execution tasks, including the development of the key visual, promotional materials, exhibition space planning, venue beautification, cultural creative zones, event costumes, and related production items. This project clearly demonstrated the faculty\u2019s strong capabilities in professional design planning and practical execution for large-scale cultural events.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On the opening day, Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Teo Pei Kian, Dean, and Ms. Ong Ei Lin, Deputy Dean, were also present at the opening ceremony, witnessing firsthand the faculty\u2019s significant achievements and social impact through cross-disciplinary cultural collaboration.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The project received high recognition from the organizers and relevant government agencies, underscoring the Faculty of Art and Design\u2019s comprehensive strengths in professional education, practice-oriented learning, and community engagement. This accomplishment represents not only an honor but also a responsibility and aspiration. Moving forward, the faculty remains committed to responding to societal needs through design, connecting cultures through creativity, and nurturing future design professionals equipped with both international perspectives and strong industry-ready competencies.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u672c\u6b21\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e2d\uff0c\u534e\u4eba\u533a\u57df\u300c\u9f99\u97f5\u5171\u878d\u300d\u534e\u65cf\u6587\u5316\u9057\u4ea7\u533a\uff0c\u7279\u9080\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\u827a\u672f\u4e0e\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5b66\u9662\u62c5\u4efb\u6574\u4f53\u89c6\u89c9\u7b56\u5212\u4e0e\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5355\u4f4d\u3002\u9879\u76ee\u7531\u9ad8\u7ea7\u8bb2\u5e08\u6e38\u4eae\u8f89\u5e26\u9886\u5b66\u751f\u51cc\ud870\udc29\u667a\u4e0e\u6234\u598f\u83b9\u7ec4\u6210\u4e13\u4e1a\u56e2\u961f\uff0c\u5728\u4e0d\u8db3\u4e00\u4e2a\u6708\u7684\u7d27\u51d1\u65f6\u7a0b\u5185\uff0c\u5b8c\u6210\u903e\u4e8c\u5341\u9879\u8bbe\u8ba1\u4e0e\u6267\u884c\u4efb\u52a1\uff0c\u6db5\u76d6\u4e3b\u89c6\u89c9\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u5ba3\u4f20\u7269\u6599\u3001\u5c55\u89c8\u7a7a\u95f4\u89c4\u5212\u3001\u573a\u5730\u7f8e\u5316\u3001\u6587\u521b\u5c55\u533a\u8bbe\u8ba1\u3001\u6d3b\u52a8\u670d\u88c5\u4ee5\u53ca\u76f8\u5173\u5236\u4f5c\u7269\uff0c\u5145\u5206\u5c55\u73b0\u5b66\u9662\u5728\u5927\u578b\u6587\u5316\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e2d\u7684\u4e13\u4e1a\u7b56\u5212\u4e0e\u5b9e\u52a1\u6267\u884c\u80fd\u529b\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u6d3b\u52a8\u5f00\u5e55\u5f53\u5929\uff0c\u9662\u957f\u8d75\u4f69\u5a1f\u52a9\u7406\u6559\u6388\u4e0e\u526f\u9662\u957f\u738b\u4f9d\u7433\u4ea6\u4eb2\u4e34\u73b0\u573a\u5f00\u5e55\u5178\u793c\uff0c\u5171\u540c\u89c1\u8bc1\u827a\u672f\u4e0e\u8bbe\u8ba1\u5b66\u9662\u5728\u8de8\u754c\u6587\u5316\u5408\u4f5c\u4e2d\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6210\u679c\u4e0e\u793e\u4f1a\u5f71\u54cd\u529b\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
