Piknik Membaca, a collaborative reading initiative jointly organised by Southern University College (SUC), the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Johor Public Library Corporation (Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Johor, PPAJ), was successfully held and attracted a total of 250 participants on 30 December 2025. The event was designed not only to encourage SUC students to rediscover the joy of reading, but also to inspire students nationwide to cultivate deeper reading habits that go beyond surface-level consumption of information.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The President of Southern University College, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Chuah Joon Huang, highlighted that Piknik Membaca aimed to nurture critical thinking, reflection, and meaningful engagement with texts. Prof. Chuah also expressed his appreciation for the strong support received from PPAJ and conveyed his hope for more collaborative initiatives with PPAJ and Siji Art Management in the future. Such collaborations, he emphasised, are vital for nurturing students\u2019 communication and organisational skills, which are increasingly essential in the age of Artificial Intelligence. He further thanked Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said and Ms Lah Wan Yee for their initiative and dedication in enhancing students\u2019 competencies through the organisation of Piknik Membaca.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The event was graced by the presence of Datin Teh Hwee Tiang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, SUC; Puan Ungku Hajah Noorakmal Ungku Sulaiman from PPAJ; and Cut Nailil Muna from Siji Art Management, Jakarta. In her remarks, Puan Ungku expressed her hope that Piknik Membaca could be expanded to the wider community, positioning books as an integral part of family recreational activities. The programme followed by a patriotic song appreciation session, featuring spirited performances by 14 groups of students, and concluded with Aspirasi AI dalam Industri Kreatif (AAIDIK) features the screening of the short film \u201cAI Between Us\u201d, produced by PPAJ in collaboration with SUC, adding a meaningful cultural dimension to the event.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u7531\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\u4eba\u6587\u4e0e\u793e\u4f1a\u79d1\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u67d4\u4f5b\u5dde\u516c\u5171\u56fe\u4e66\u9986\u673a\u6784\uff08PPAJ\uff09\u8054\u5408\u4e3b\u529e\u7684\u201c\u91ce\u8bfb\u65f6\u5149\u201d\u534f\u4f5c\u9605\u8bfb\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u4e8e2025\u5e7412\u670830\u65e5\u5706\u6ee1\u4e3e\u884c\uff0c\u5171\u5438\u5f15\u7ea6250\u540d\u53c2\u4e0e\u8005\u3002\u8be5\u6d3b\u52a8\u4e0d\u4ec5\u65e8\u5728\u9f13\u52b1\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\u7684\u5b66\u751f\u91cd\u65b0\u53d1\u73b0\u9605\u8bfb\u7684\u4e50\u8da3\uff0c\u4e5f\u5e0c\u671b\u6fc0\u53d1\u5168\u56fd\u5b66\u751f\u57f9\u517b\u66f4\u6df1\u5165\u7684\u9605\u8bfb\u4e60\u60ef\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\u6821\u957f\u8521\u6da6\u714c\u6559\u6388\u6307\u51fa\uff0c\u201c\u91ce\u8bfb\u65f6\u5149\u201d\u65e8\u5728\u57f9\u80b2\u5b66\u751f\u7684\u6279\u5224\u6027\u601d\u7ef4\u3001\u53cd\u601d\u80fd\u529b\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u4e0e\u6587\u672c\u8fdb\u884c\u6709\u610f\u4e49\u4e92\u52a8\u7684\u7d20\u517b\u3002\u4ed6\u540c\u65f6\u611f\u8c22PPAJ\u7ed9\u4e88\u7684\u5927\u529b\u652f\u6301\uff0c\u5e76\u8868\u8fbe\u4e86\u672a\u6765\u4e0ePPAJ\u53ca\u5370\u5c3c\u827a\u672f\u7ba1\u7406\u673a\u6784\u5c55\u5f00\u66f4\u591a\u5408\u4f5c\u9879\u76ee\u7684\u671f\u671b\u3002\u8521\u6821\u957f\u5f3a\u8c03\uff0c\u8fd9\u7c7b\u8de8\u673a\u6784\u5408\u4f5c\u5bf9\u4e8e\u57f9\u517b\u5b66\u751f\u7684\u6c9f\u901a\u80fd\u529b\u4e0e\u7ec4\u7ec7\u80fd\u529b\u81f3\u5173\u91cd\u8981\uff0c\u800c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u80fd\u529b\u5728\u4eba\u5de5\u667a\u80fd\u65f6\u4ee3\u663e\u5f97\u5c24\u4e3a\u91cd\u8981\u3002\u4ed6\u4ea6\u7279\u522b\u611f\u8c22 Asst. Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhartono Bin Mohd Said \u53ca\u6797\u5a49\u4eea\u9ad8\u7ea7\u8bb2\u5e08\u7684\u79ef\u6781\u5021\u8bae\u4e0e\u8f9b\u52e4\u4ed8\u51fa\uff0c\u901a\u8fc7\u7b79\u529e\u6d3b\u52a8\u6709\u6548\u63d0\u5347\u4e86\u5b66\u751f\u7684\u7efc\u5408\u80fd\u529b\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
