Southern University College is proud and honored to announce our official invitation to join the prestigious League of Tropical Universities (LTU), initiated by Hainan University, China. This milestone marks a significant step forward in our global engagement and commitment to academic excellence in tropical research and development.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Prof. ChM. Dr. Leong Loong Kong, Vice President (Academic) and Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Teo Pei Kian, Vice President (Research & Innovation) were invited to attend the League of Tropical Universities 2025 Summit (13-16 April 2025), hosted by Hainan University \u2014 located in China\u2019s only tropical province.<\/div>\n
The League was officially launched in November 2023, spearheaded by Hainan University in collaboration with seven globally renowned institutions, including: Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Universiti Teknologi Petronas (Malaysia), Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (China), Cairo University (Egypt), University of S\u00e3o Paulo (Brazil), Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As of 13 April 2025, the League has grown to 101 universities and research institutions from 41 countries and regions, creating a vibrant network that transcends borders, fosters multicultural collaboration, and contributes meaningfully to global ecological sustainability and socio-economic development. Southern UC is proud to announce our membership in the League of Tropical Universities (LTU).<\/div>\n
During the summit, Southern UC forged valuable connections with institutions from China, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Cambodia and beyond. Preliminary collaboration discussions were also initiated with Hainan University and Guizhou Normal University, laying the groundwork for future academic exchanges and joint research initiatives.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We look forward to actively contributing to the League\u2019s vision and strengthening our role in addressing the challenges and opportunities in tropical regions around the world.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\u8363\u5e78\u5ba3\u5e03\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5df2\u6b63\u5f0f\u53d7\u9080\u52a0\u5165\u7531\u4e2d\u56fd\u6d77\u5357\u5927\u5b66\u53d1\u8d77\u7684\u201c\u70ed\u5e26\u5927\u5b66\u8054\u76df\u201d\uff08LTU\uff09\u3002\u8fd9\u4e00\u91cd\u8981\u91cc\u7a0b\u7891\u6807\u5fd7\u7740\u6211\u6821\u5728\u5168\u7403\u4ea4\u6d41\u4e0e\u70ed\u5e26\u7814\u7a76\u53d1\u5c55\u65b9\u9762\u8fc8\u51fa\u4e86\u575a\u5b9e\u7684\u4e00\u6b65\uff0c\u4e5f\u5f70\u663e\u4e86\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u5b66\u672f\u5353\u8d8a\u8ffd\u6c42\u4e2d\u7684\u6301\u7eed\u627f\u8bfa\u3002<\/div>\n

\u622a\u81f32025\u5e744\u670813\u65e5\uff0c\u70ed\u5e26\u5927\u5b66\u8054\u76df\uff08LTU\uff09\u5df2\u53d1\u5c55\u81f3\u6765\u81ea41\u4e2a\u56fd\u5bb6\u548c\u5730\u533a\u7684101\u6240\u5927\u5b66\u548c\u7814\u7a76\u673a\u6784\uff0c\u5f62\u6210\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u5145\u6ee1\u6d3b\u529b\u7684\u7f51\u7edc\uff0c\u8d85\u8d8a\u56fd\u754c\uff0c\u4fc3\u8fdb\u591a\u5143\u6587\u5316\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u5e76\u4e3a\u5168\u7403\u751f\u6001\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u6027\u4e0e\u793e\u4f1a\u7ecf\u6d4e\u53d1\u5c55\u4f5c\u51fa\u6709\u610f\u4e49\u7684\u8d21\u732e\u3002\u5357\u65b9\u5927\u5b66\u5b66\u9662\uff08Southern UC\uff09\u81ea\u8c6a\u5730\u5ba3\u5e03\u6b63\u5f0f\u52a0\u5165\u70ed\u5e26\u5927\u5b66\u8054\u76df\u3002<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
