Organized by Sumari Development in collaboration with the Student Society of the Faculty of Art and Design and other student societies, “the Fire of 20″ book sharing session was successfully held yesterday. The author Taro Chua and his family made a special trip across the causeway to visit Southern UC, where they shared the creative journey and personal growth insights behind his new book, The Fire of 20, with teachers and students.
During the session, Taro recounted his childhood emotional struggles and challenges he faced, emphasizing his core belief: “Do what you want and stick to it.” His confidence and sincerity deeply resonated with the audience. The author’s mother, Madam Vanessa Keh, also shared her perspective as a parent, on how to overcome communication barriers and grow together through mutual understanding.
Furthermore, Sumari Development generously gifted 100 copies of the new book to all attendees. During the signing session, Taro thoughtfully personalized each student’s copy with unique signatures and impromptu sketches. The event not only inspired participants with the transformative power of personal growth but also left a lasting impression, filling Southern UC with warmth and positivity.
