KNOWLEDGE CLINIC IN ACADEMIC RESEARCH DOCUMENTATION & MyRA COMPLIANCE

The purpose of this session was to strengthen the research capacity of our academic staff, particularly in their ability to develop high-impact research proposals. It aimed to provide valuable insights and practical guidance to support the preparation of quality proposals for relevant internal and external applications.

This Knowledge Clinic was part of our ongoing efforts to improve research management practices across the institution. The session played a vital role in ensuring that academic staff are well informed about proper documentation and reporting procedures. In addition, it supported IGSR in maintaining standard reference documentation and helped ensure that all research-related submissions aligned with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA).

Our guest speaker and external expert was YBhg. Profesor Dr. Mohammad Hamiruce Marhaban, Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) who actively responsible as Taskforce of MyRA, SETARA dan HICOE. His participation is expected to provide valuable insights and practical guidance to strengthen our institutional research performance, documentation practices, and industry engagement initiatives.

This clinic enhanced awareness and procedural accuracy for academic staff involved in research and consultancy activities, ultimately supporting Southern UC’s MyRA performance and research excellence goals.

本次培训的目的是增强我校教职员工的科研能力，特别是在提升撰写高影响力科研项目申请的能力。我们希望通过此次培训，提供有价值的见解和实用的指导，协助大家为校内外相关项目申请准备高质量的研究提案。

此次讲座也是我校持续推进科研管理实践优化工作的重要组成部分。此讲解将有助于教职员工深入了解科研文件的规范编制及报告流程，在推动科研工作的标准化与制度化方面发挥关键作用。

此外，本次讲座也将协助研究生与研究学院（IGSR）维护标准参考文件，并确保所有与科研相关的提交材料符合高等教育部（KPT）和马来西亚科研评估系统（MyRA）的相关要求。

我们荣幸邀请到马来西亚博特拉大学（UPM）工程学院的Profesor Dr. Mohammad Hamiruce Marhaban担任本次讲座的特邀主讲嘉宾。Prof. Hamiruce作为MyRA、SETARA及HICOE工作小组的重要成员，他的参与将为我校在科研绩效提升，文件管理实践优化及校企合作项目推进等方面提供宝贵的指导与启发。

本次讲座将进一步增强我校从事科研与咨询活动的教职员工的规范意识和操作能力，有效提升南方大学学院在MyRA评估中的整体表现，助力实现卓越科研的发展目标。
