【FAD × MFA】Joining Forces to Ignite a New Chapter in Industry-Academia Collaboration! ✨

On July 15, 2026 The Faculty of Art & Design (FAD), Southern University College was deeply honored to welcome two Vice Presidents from the Muar Furniture Association (MFA): Mr. Nick Wee and Mr. Sin Wi Sern

Warm Reception by FAD Representatives The delegation was warmly received by the FAD Industrial Design team and faculty management, including Dean, Deputy Dean, HOD and Programme Coordinator.

Moving forward, all upcoming industry-academia collaboration projects will be integrated into our Industrial Design Programme! Combining corporate strength with academic excellence, we will gradually roll out three exciting initiatives for a win-win outcome: Internship and Local Talent Programme Creative Design Competitions Comprehensive Industry-Academia Collaboration

FAD extends its sincerest thanks to the Muar Furniture Association for providing this invaluable opportunity and creating such a broad, dynamic platform for our students and faculty to connect directly with the industry.

2026年7月15日，南方大学学院艺术与设计学院迎来麻坡家具公会（MFA）两位副会长的莅临访问，分别是宝顺利傢俱美化负责人黄运陇副会长，以及艺林机械有限公司负责人沈威盛副会长。

本次交流会由艺术与设计学院工业设计团队接待，出席的院方代表包括：院长赵佩娟助理教授、王依琳高级讲师、主任邱美丽教育专员及课程协调员陈思蕙高级讲师。

双方团队展开了深度且具建设性的对话，并达成高度共识。未来所有产学合作项目将全面落实于“工业设计专业”。双方将携手推进以下三大计划，结合企业与学术力量，实现双赢局面：人才培养项目、创意设计比赛及全面产学合作

艺术与设计学院团队曾于2025年8月率领40位师生前往麻坡拜访麻坡家具公会，深入工厂进行实地考察。在黄运陇副会长与院长的积极推动下，双方此前已成功促成几项比赛与合作。

在此，艺术与设计学院衷心感谢麻坡家具公会给予的宝贵机会，为本院师生搭建了如此宽广的学术与产业对接平台。
