It was a season of celebration at Southern University College! The Faculty of Art & Design (FAD) continued to cement its reputation as a leader in design education, marking significant milestones achieved by our talented students. 
Student Spotlight: National Recognition & CertificationThe success of our faculty was reflected through the outstanding achievements of our students! We celebrated the success of Lim Shao Zhe, who was shortlisted as a Top 30 Finalist in the Malaysia National Championship 2026. 
Beyond this amazing competitive milestone, Shao Zhe also officially earned his Adobe Certified Professional credential in Graphic Design & Illustration using Adobe Illustrator. His success stood as a beautiful testament to the synergy between dedicated student effort and the expert guidance provided by our faculty. 
Event Highlight: Micro-Credentials Education Summit 2026In recognition of these stellar achievements, our Faculty Dean, Deputy Dean, and our finalists were formally invited to attend the Micro-Credentials Education Summit (MCES 2026). The event was held in conjunction with the Malaysia National Championship Grand Finale. 
This invitation underscored Southern UC’s growing influence in the digital design landscape and our commitment to embedding industry-recognized credentials into academic excellence.
It was an honor to attend the grand finale as we continued to push the boundaries of creativity and professionalism! 
深耕数字设计领域：南方大学学院艺术与设计学院取得新进展 南方大学学院艺术与设计学院始终致力于提升设计教育素质。近期，我们在学术与专业实践中迈出了扎实的一步，并见证了学生在专业领域所取得的成果。
学生成果：国家级赛事与专业认证学院的教学实践在学生的表现中得到了体现。我们诚挚祝贺工业设计学士林邵哲同学，他成功入围 2026年马来西亚全国锦标赛 30 强决赛。
在竞赛之外，这位同学也顺利考取了 Adobe 认证专业人士（ACP）- 平面设计与插画（Adobe Illustrator）凭证。这份成绩不仅是学生个人努力的成果，也体现了学院在专业技术指导上的稳步推进。
交流回顾：2026年微证书教育峰会基于上述学术表现，本院院长、副院长以及入围学生受邀出席了 2026年微证书教育峰会（MCES 2026）。该活动与马来西亚全国锦标赛总决赛同步进行。
此次受邀出席，促进了本院与行业在微证书教育领域的交流，也进一步落实了我们将行业标准引入课程体系的教学方针。
能够参与此次总决赛并与各界专业人士交流学习，对我们而言是一次宝贵的经验。
