On June 19, 2026, the Confucius Institute of TCM at Southern University College successfully hosted the Dragon Boat Festival celebration at the Tan Sri Dato’ J.C.Chang Museum and Art Gallery. The event kicked off with a cultural showcase featuring the 24 Festive Drums, Chinese orchestra, martial arts, folk dance, and diabolo, beautifully demonstrating the charm of Chinese heritage. Following the performances, attendees eagerly participated in an interactive trivia session, showcasing their great knowledge of traditional customs. To wrap up the celebration, guests gathered at Kean Leng Hall to savor delicious traditional rice dumplings, highlighted by the uniquely flavorful Hainan rice dumplings. The DIY herbal sachet station also saw an overwhelming response. This meaningful event perfectly honored festival traditions while strengthening cultural bonds within our community.
