Bridging Traditional Art and Future Tech: Cultural Medallion Siew Hock Meng Visits Southern University College

Recently, renowned artist and Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient Mr. Siew Hock Meng paid a special visit to the Faculty of Art and Design at Southern University College for an in-depth artistic exchange!

During his visit, Mr. Siew met with the Dean, Deputy Dean, Department Head, and faculty members to engage in rich discussions on the integration of “Art, Design, and Technology.” On the same day, he conducted an inspiring sharing session themed “Painting and Technology,” broadening the creative horizons and technical insights of our Visual Arts students!

Following the session, accompanied by the Museum of Art Gallery Director, Mr. Siew visited the Southern University College Museum. There, he engaged in a warm and lively conversation with 10 visiting artists from China, sparking vibrant cultural insights among artists from diverse backgrounds.

日前，新加坡文化奖得主、知名画家萧学民先生特别莅临南方大学学院艺术与设计学院进行深度拜访！

在此次拜访中，萧先生与艺术与设计学院的院长、副院长、系主任及教师团队深入探讨了“艺术、设计与科技”跨界融合的时代课题。当天，萧先生更亲自主持了一场以“绘画与科技”为主题的精彩分享会，为视觉艺术系的学生们拓展了前沿的技术启发与创作视野！

随后，萧先生在文物馆馆长的陪同下参观了南方大学学院文物馆，并与10位来自中国的海外画家展开了热烈的交流会谈，多元背景的艺术家们齐聚一堂，碰撞出丰富的文化火花。
