The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Education, Southern University College, is delighted to welcome students and faculty members from Konan Women’s University, Japan, for a cultural and educational visit.
In conjunction with Visit Johor 2026, our Department of Education is proud to introduce our Japanese friends to the beauty and richness of Malaysian culture and heritage.
Traditional Malay Games – The students enjoyed experiencing traditional Malaysian games such as Congkak, Batu Seremban and Gasing, while learning more about Malaysia’s cultural heritage.
The Beauty of Batik Sarung – The students learned about the beauty of the traditional Batik Sarung and had the opportunity to experience wearing this beautiful Malaysian traditional attire.
Traditional Malay Culinary Heritage – The students enjoyed a hands-on experience learning how to prepare Onde-Onde, one of Malaysia’s popular and well-loved traditional kuih.
Buddy Interaction Session – Students from Konan Women’s University and Southern University College also had the opportunity to interact, exchange experiences and build meaningful friendships through a buddy interaction session.
We are proud to share Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and create meaningful international connections through this wonderful cultural exchange.

跨国文化交流圆满举行！南方大学学院人文与社会科学学院教育系，热烈欢迎日本甲南女子大学（Konan Women’s University）的学生们前来参与一场别具意义的文化与教育交流之旅。配合“2026年柔佛旅游年 (Visit Johor 2026)”，我们非常自豪能向日本朋友们展示马来西亚多元文化的丰富与美丽！
精彩活动亮点
• 传统马来游戏：学生们亲身体验了播棋 (Congkak)、抛石子 (Batu Seremban) 和打陀螺 (Gasing) 等马来西亚经典传统游戏，在欢声笑语中感受本地文化遗产的乐趣。
• 峇迪纱笼 (Batik Sarung) 之美：日本朋友们深入了解了传统峇迪纱笼的独特艺术魅力，并获得了亲自试穿这套绝美马来西亚传统服饰的难得机会。
• 马来传统烹饪体验：大家参与了动手制作“班兰椰丝球 (Onde-Onde)”的环节，沉浸式体验并品尝了这款深受大马人喜爱的人气传统糕点。
• 学伴互动交流 (Buddy Interaction)：甲南女子大学与南方大学学院的学生们通过学伴环节深入交流、分享彼此的经验，建立起了跨国界的珍贵友谊。
