Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Southern University College attended 4th Conference Global Alliance of Confucius Institutes of Chinese Medicine

From 31 May to 5 June 2026, Prof. Dr. Liu Yang and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lim Juat Hong, the Chinese and Malaysian Directors of the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Southern University College, attended the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Confucius Institute at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and the 4th Conference Global Alliance of Confucius Institutes of Chinese Medicine.

The conference brought together TCM and education experts from around the world to discuss topics such as TCM international education, integration of Chinese and Western medicine, translation of classical texts, and AI-driven cross-cultural communication. Prof. Dr. Liu Yang delivered a presentation introducing the development and achievements of Confucius Institute of TCM at Southern University College. Both directors also participated in a China–Europe intercultural exchange seminar and gained valuable insights from other Confucius Institutes.

As the youngest and only Southeast Asian Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine represented at the event, the institute showcased its unique strengths, strengthened international partnerships, and expanded opportunities for future collaboration.

2026年5月31日至6月5日，南方大学学院中医孔子学院中方院长刘洋教授、马方院长林悦鸿副教授远赴葡萄牙科英布拉，出席科英布拉大学孔子学院成立十周年庆典暨第四届全球中医孔子学院联盟学术会议。葡萄牙科英布拉大学孔子学院成立十周年庆典活动中，来自十多个国家的近百位中医与教育界人士齐聚一堂，共贺十年发展硕果。

第四届全球中医孔子学院联盟学术会议聚焦中西医融合、中医药海外教育、典籍翻译、AI 跨文化传播等多个前沿方向，分享实践经验与研究成果，为中医药国际化交流搭建专业平台。刘洋教授代表南方大学学院中医孔子学院发表题为《以医传文·医文互鉴——南方大学学院中医孔子学院》的会议发言。此外，两位院长也参与了中欧跨文化交流研讨会，认真学习借鉴各兄弟孔院的优秀经验，收获良多。此次葡萄牙之行，是我院对接联盟资源、拓展同业合作的重要契机。作为本次活动中最年轻的且唯一参会的东南亚中医孔子学院，我院在联盟交流平台展示新院风貌，深化与海内外同仁的沟通协作。
